I just ordered an MGS4 Watch. Don't know why, shouldn't be spending 2-3 games worth of money on it, just did it. Am I wrong?

Eurogamer Expo in London
I was wondering if any of you guys were planning on going to the Eurogamer expo in London - it's on 28th and 29th October. Full details here: http://expo.eurogamer.net
It's midweek rather than being on a weekend. Getting the day off work might be tricky for some (including me - but I'm going to try to take the Wednesday off). Also, it's in London which isn't convenient for everyone. Hey, we missed out on the LittleBigPlanet pop-up store thingy here in the South so it's about time we had something of our own to go to right?!
Anyway, it looks like a laugh - lots of new games to try out. Let me know if you're interested and perhaps we can meet up for a game (beer afterwards?).

Warhawk Clan battles
Now we have a good few members in the clan, I want to ramp up our activity. Hit the Poll to the right for any nights you can play, members be sure to use the Community/Clan option to join up with eachother and play.
A couple of you have asked when we will have clan matches, so we need two things (1) clans to play against (2) dates to play. If any of you know a clan up for some games against us, add a comment.
Finally, here are a few useful resources to give you some gameplay tips:
Strategy Guide by keyser28146 this really helps understand what kills what, as well as some Zen-like wisdom.
Pro flight tips from Clan B.I.T.E. Helps explain why you should switch this on (so you stay alive) as well as simplifying WTF is happening when you do!
WarhawkStats there is loads of clear info here, I like this. Great for obsessives (like me)
Finally, massive hero Sea_Manky did fantastic pickup maps, amazin.

Little Big Planet Pop-up Store pics
Must say it was a day well spent in Manchester, having just come down from the land of north to conquer you all I traversed the unknowns and seas of dragons to enter the world of Little Big planet and my god did I enjoy myself!
HDTV's lined the walls and floors with early versions of the game being demonstrated and available to play by all who would happen into the building, walls were covered in LBP memorabilia and pictures, live demo's from the staff there, art corners where you can create your own LBP characters and badges and Iron on patches a plenty!
Would advise anyone near the manchester area to go and take a look!

1942 Joint Strike Problems
Hi all
Just thought I'd give you a heads up with a problem I'm having on 1942 joint strike.
When I start the game it always asks me to create a profile, which all seems to go well. I get as far as I can through the game and then bite the dust but it doesn't seem to save my high score :-( .
When I come out of the game and go back in it asks me to create the profile again. I have check the online high score tables and people are in there so how are they saving scores when I cant. Has anyone else bought this game and are you having the same problem.
The game is good fun for a top down blaster and looks good at 1080p but this not issue is something that needs to be sorted out quickly. Let me know your experiences with 1942JS

Wipeout HD release date " announced next week"
Boy am I looking forward to Wipeout HD! Who isn't?! Three Speech have said that the release date will be announced next week. We all know that this one is long overdue. I was please to hear that the price is only £11.99. I hope this sets an example for future high-profile downloadable titles as that price point is a lot more reasonable, than the price of, for example, GT5 Prologue. Anyway, whilst we're waiting for Wipeout let's enjoy some brand new footage:

Blazing Angels 2 - Secret Missions of WWII Review
Welcome to my review of Blazing Angels 2.
Weve all been there, its Saturday afternoon, raining hard and I fancied playing something different. After downloading the trailer for H.A.W.X and watching some extra in game footage on youtube, I really wanted a new game with some good old fashioned flying aroung and blasting things.
As you all know I love warhawk to bits and spend many a night avoiding MrJimmys missiles and gunfire but recently I seem to spend more time plumiting to the ground than in the air and with H.A.W.X release date being put back I thought I'd give Blazing Angels 2 a try.
A quick scout around on the net showed Zavvi selling it for £35 ( When I actualluy went to buy it it was reduced to £30 so even cheaper.)
Now I am a big fan of the Ace Combat series, having owned all the games and a had a set of dual analogue flight sticks which worked pretty well ( http://curmudgeongamer.com/2005/10/ace-combat-and-dual-analog-flight.html ) so Ive had plenty of time in flying games over the years.
Blazing Angels 2 starts with an easy training mission, flying round doing stunts to get you used to the controls ( low level flight and going through large hoops suspended from balloons ) and then you travel back to when the squadron was formed and start getting in to the action.
The first thing I did was change the controller config from arcade to simulation to make it seem more real and then have a proper session on the game. The selection of planes you have is unlocked as you progress through the game but they all look pretty with various colour schemes you can choose from and further ones to unlock as you progress. The levels are large and well detailed and the use of the objective camera (L1) works very well. As you blow stuff up and shoot stuff down, you earn prestige points that you use after the mission to upgrade parts of your planes and your squadrons effectiveness. It all works very smoothly and most importantly, is great fun as you soon realise that the original guns, cannons, torpedos and bombs need to cause a bit more damage. Flying a Swordfish biplane at night bombing ships in a harbour while avoiding searchlights felt real and trying to land it back on the carrier afterwards with critial plane damage was a real buzz!
While the graphics do not look as sharp as some newer games or H.A.W.X, they are good enough to make the missions feel real and I was supprised how quickly you feel part of the game. There is also online gameplay (dogfights etc over citys ) which I had a quick go of but as a newbee with a basic plane, some kind americans in the room who had equiped their planes with missiles were using me as target practice. Voice chat worked well and as soon as I upgrade my trusty old plane I'll be back in there to show them some justice!!!
All in all for £30 this is a great, fun game to own and I think its worth the money (I'm sure you can get it even cheaper by shopping around.) I enjoyed it so much that I'm even considering getting a PS3 compatible joystick for it.
Tally Ho, Im off for another blast now!
